For those who don't know, Taiwan does indeed participate in the Olympics under a separate name from China. You will find them participating under "Chinese Taipei". I'm sure they would prefer to use "Republic of China" but that definitely wouldn't fly with the mainland. So keep an eye out for the Chinese Taipei teams! In 2004 Taiwan took home its first 2 gold medals - both in Taekwondo. I've heard that baseball and archery are also their strong suits.
Go Chinese Taipei!

Ohhhh... very interesting... I'm going to definitely keep an eye on Tae-kwon-do as we have the first three sibling team competing in Taekwondo, which hasn't happened in the same sport since 1904. They have a great story (lopez family from Houston). Jean Lopez is like the Michael Jordan of Taekwondo especially in Korea. I'd love to see them match as that would be a very neat to see such amazing athletes. Now I can't route for either except enjoy their talent! That's kinda nice! Go USA! Go Chinese Taipei! Honestly I just love seeing them compete... not much of a cheerleader! Anyways, thanks for the interesting post!
